The Office of Mathematics and Science produces annual summer professional learning events held at high schools across the state. Each week of professional learning serves 750 Florida educators. In 2024, 3 weeks of professional learning will be offered: one in the Panhandle, one in Central Florida, and one in South Florida.
These professional learning events are state government sponsored events; therefore, they must adhere to state statutes regarding all aspects of the event. All agreements are required to go through a procurement process and legal review.
When a provider is selected by FDOE from RFP results, an agreement will be executed through the fiscal agent assigned by FDOE. This can be a lengthy process that may take up to two months to complete. All fiscal agents are tax-exempt and will provide tax-exempt certificate to the provider.
