Session Contents:
Coaching Cycles in Action
Explore how to implement coaching cycles. Coaches will engage in identifying learning goals, co-planning instruction, gathering student evidence, and reflecting on growth.
Coaching Conversations
Effective coaching conversations center on student learning and teacher growth. This session models questioning strategies, feedback protocols, and dialogue structures that promote trust, reflection, and instructional improvement aligned to MTRs.
Coaching for Tiered Instruction in Mathematics
Explore how coaching supports equitable access to mathematics learning through tiered and specially designed instruction. Coaches will examine examples of co-planning for Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3, and SDI within B.E.S.T. Standards, using evidence to ensure instruction remains rigorous and scaffolded.
Data-Driven Coaching in Mathematics
Learn how to use multiple forms of student data—formative, summative, and observational—to drive coaching conversations. Participants will analyze authentic student work, identify trends, and plan targeted coaching cycles based on evidence rather than perception.
Benchmarks-Aligned, High-Quality Instruction: Video Lab
In this interactive video lab, coaches analyze real classroom footage through the lens of student thinking, perseverance, and engagement. Participants will practice facilitating reflective discussions with teachers using video as a tool for evidence-based growth.
Action Planning
Coaches synthesize summit learning into actionable coaching plans for their regions. Using templates, participants will identify student learning goals, success indicators, and coaching cycle timelines. Plans will align with Florida’s statewide mathematics priorities and progress monitoring expectations.
