Need to Know
What time do I need to arrive at the event location?
The event starts at 8:00 a.m. at each location. Please arrive no later than 7:30 a.m. to allow time for parking and check-in.
Where do I park?
Participants may park at the event location. Please see each location's specific parking information below.
Northwest - Parking is limited at Edgewater's convention center. Plan to arrive by 7:30 am for best chance of parking near convention center. You will be provided a parking pass at the gate. Once the lot is filled, parking will be at the overflow lot behind the Burger King. You do not need to scan to pay in the overflow lot. Edgewater will provide shuttles from the overflow lot to the convention center.
If you park at the convention center and leave for lunch, you may not be able to get back to your original parking spot and will have to park at the overflow lot.
Southeast - Self-parking - $10.00, Valet parking - $15.00
Central - Self parking is $25/car/day. Valet parking is $35. You may pay at the front desk or at the parking kiosk.
There is a pedistrian walk over to Disney Springs with lunch options.
Southwest - Parking is located in the 7 story parking garage attached to the back of the hotel. Guest will need to turn on Occident or Westshore from Kennedy Blvd to access parking garage entrance. Self parking is complimentary.
Once in the garage, guests may take the elevator to the first floor which will lead to the lobby and / or Bayshore Ballroom.
Northeast - Parking is complimentary.
What is the dress code?
Business casual is appropriate.
What do I need to bring?
A device with wi-fi capabilities to access event materials via Livebinder. Participants should also bring an electronic or hardcopy version of their instructional materials for the grades 6-8 math course(s) they teach.
Will there be wi-fi?
Yes, wi-fi will be available at each event location but is to be used specifically for event activities and accessing event materials. Login information will be provided at the event.
How do I receive in-service credit for this event?
All Florida school districts have procedures in place to assist you in earning in-service credits towards the renewal of your FDOE teaching certificate. Please contact your district's staff development director to determine your district's procedure. How do I submit session evaluations?
Please use your scheduler to submit session evaluations. Login information will be provided at the event.
Will childcare be provided?
This is a professional development opportunity. Childcare services are NOT provided. Please make your own off-site arrangements for childcare.
What if I have to leave early?
Please notify FDOE staff as soon as possible.

DoubleShot - Open Sunday to Thursday from 4:00pm until 11:00pm and Friday & Saturday from 4:00pm until midnight.

Fresh Market - Open from 7:00am to 10:00pm
Room Service - 7:00am to 10:00pm
Offsite food and beverage is not allowed to be brought into the ballrooms.
